08 May - Tune Hotels takes to Paddington Station

Theme Group played a large part in helping low cost hotel chain Tune make some noise around their Paddington opening - by designing the exterior of their mock hotel room, which took pride of place at the nearby train station.

The chain previously used Theme Group to help translate their brand for a UK audience from the original Asian market, and launch first their Westminster and then their Liverpool Street hotels, both of which have enjoyed good occupancy rates.

The pictures of the stand, along with previous work we've done for Tune, can be seen in our portfolio. It certainly seems like they are doing the job of attracting passers-by!

02 May - Craig Melvin wins sign design contest

We want to say congratulations to Reading University student Craig Melvin, who has come out on top in a competition to design our next hanging sign - earning himself a summer work placement at the Old Chapel.

The contest was to design a hanging sign for May, but aside from being given the month it would appear the students - who are on the university's Graphic Communication and Typography degree course – were given free rein to be as creative as possible.

The Theme team chose Craig's design as their favourite, and it will go up on Tuesday, May 8 for the rest of the month - keep an eye out for it!
