Who they are
Warner Leisure Hotels is the UK's leading provider of adult-only short breaks, with 13 locations spread across England and Wales. They were recently voted one of the top small companies to work for, and they won a TTG travel award in 2008.
What they wanted
Warner wanted to rebrand Le Bistro, one of the dining options at their Nottingham hotel Thoresby Hall, as an Italian ristorante.
They needed a new name and branding that was strong enough - and that had a history behind it - to emphasise the new direction being taken.
Once designed, the new branding would then be implemented across signage, uniforms and menus.
What we did
We pitched against two other agencies and won the project. From here, we worked the branding across the food, dessert and wine menus, staff uniforms and signage.
In order to add depth and history to the new branding, as well as linking it to Thoresby Hall, our copywriter put together introductory passages for all menus.
We also recommended colour schemes and complementing imagery to ensure the restaurant's surroundings matched the new branding.
What happened next
We have now been asked to look at branding for several more of Warner's on-site dining options, and have redesigned their generic food and drink menus.
