Corporate Branding - Harrisons Hotel

Who they are

Martyn Leisure Breaks is a company offering UK short breaks from its mix of leisure resorts and hotels in Dorset, Somerset and Surrey.

What they wanted

Martyn Leisure asked us to rebrand their Surrey hotel, initially called The Ship, as a boutique hotel. Now called Harrisons, the company invested heavily in refurbishing the building. They wanted it repositioned to target corporate and wedding guests in the local area, rather than focusing exclusively on the leisure market.

Although its location does put it within reach of many visitor attractions, rooms are booked on a nightly basis rather than the three or four-night half board breaks offered by other Martyn Leisure hotels.

What we did

Martyn Leisure Breaks has a strong, recognisable branding that ties it to the leisure industry. To end this association, and to position the Harrisons hotel in the boutique market, Theme Group developed a corporate brand with a clean, classy feel that emphasised quality.

The use of rich brown colours, traditional fonts and quirky floral flourishes, created a brand that set Harrisons apart from its sister leisure resorts and hotels, positioning it as a venue that specialises in quality functions for both leisure and corporate markets.

The rebrand included menus, doorhangers, bedroom browsers, key holders and mini brochures, and all collateral was printed on a specialist cord-embossed GF Smith paper to add texture to further enhance the quality feel of the brand.

As well as the printed material, we designed and built the new website through the Theme Group Content Management System (CMS) which launched on the day of the hotel's opening and continued the classy feel of the mini brochure.
